2023 Annual Black History Program and Prayer Breakfast
Greetings,
The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the Jurisdiction of the District of Columbia, Inc. is excited to announce its consolidated 2023 Annual Black History Program and Prayer Breakfast. This consolidated program will be educational, informative, and spiritually uplifting. Consequently, the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge welcomes your participation and support. This year’s program will be held in person, on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., in the historic D.C. Masonic Temple. This year’s program theme is “Black Resistance.” Under this theme, Mr. Derek Gray, author of The NAACP in Washington, D.C: From Jim Crow to Home Rule, will present a historical account of the local Washington, D.C. NAACP, and its activities. Additionally, spiritual enlightenment will be provided by Rev. Dr. Perzavia Praylow, Pastor, of Fifteenth Street Presbyterian Church. The donation for this event is $25.00 with proceeds to directly benefit the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge’s Scholarship Program.
Lastly, as part of the Black History Program, the Grand Lodge is expecting all subordinate, adopted, appended, allied, and concordant organizations to prepare dynamic organizational exhibits for display and informational purposes. As in years past, the organizational displays will be evaluated with special recognition for originality, thoroughness, and creativity. Exhibit displays will be in the North & South Halls on the Masonic Temple’s 5th Floor. Exhibit set-up time starts at 7:00 am with exhibits on display from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.
This program is open to the general public. Accordingly, you are encouraged to share with your professional and personal networks. Thank you in advance for your support and participation in this worthwhile endeavor. Additional information and tickets can be coordinated with Worshipful Senior Grand Deacon Aaron E. Price, Sr., Esq., (202-742-6344) or Worshipful Junior Grand Deacon H. Curtis Byfield (301-509-0571).
Fraternally,
Honorable Anthony B. Corbitt
Most Worshipful Grand Master
